Through the auspices of St. Luke’s Health Initiative, an Associate has facilitated the forming of the Connect 2 Help Communities Collaborative. The Arizona Community Action Association, FIBCO Family Services, National Alliance of Mental Health, the Mental Health Association of America, the Mesa Partnership for Children with Special Health Care Needs and the Southwest Institute for Families and Children have all joined together to create a simple but powerful web-based tool that rapidly connects individuals in need with community volunteers ready and willing to help. By using a strengths-based community development approach, C2HC taps into community resources of goods and services. C2HC volunteers register on the website as Helpers and receive emails of registered needs. The Coordinator and Community Liaisons facilitate the helping connection between recipient and helper
