Youth Leadership

Several thousand youth and young adults across the U.S. (and many more in 20+ other countries) have benefited from a specially-adapted version of ToP methods training offered through “Youth as Facilitative Leaders” program. It is available on an in-house basis in a 2-day or 3-day format from a multi-generational training team.

“Project Based Learning” is a week-long, flexible training that combines the best research in this field with participatory methods that ensure participants are full partners in the design, planning, implementation and assessment of projects that combine community service with academic and / or skills-based learning. A facilitators guide co-developed with the Heller Graduate School of Brandeis University is available with the training.

Arizona Call a Teen Youth Resources (ACYR)
The summer of 2011 is the third year that Partners in Participation Associates helped ACYR design and facilitate a special summer work program with 20 youth and young adults, which includes a full week of training in ToP methods and then using the methods throughout the 10 weeks of the program. In 2010 the participants selected 3 projects to plan and implement: public education around “going green”, youth leadership with city and county and a teen-interactive theatre project held in collaboration with U of A 4-H. 2011 is focused on the Youth Leadership Councils for the City of Phoenix and Maricopa County.
